Matching Grant Update: Our Community

Saint Peter’s is community—all day, and every day.

From hosting lectures and concerts to disaster relief meetings and 12-Step recovery groups, the impact of a meeting space is immeasurable. Standing at the intersection of Lexington and 54th, incorporated into one of the most recognizable buildings in the Manhattan skyline, Saint Peter’s is a Modernist treasure of the 70s, holding space for the needs of New Yorkers now

When I first walked into Saint Peter’s twenty years ago, I was astounded! It was a congregation unlike any I knew growing up in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania. I immediately felt welcome, comfortable, and eager to know more. The vibrancy and diversity of this community over these two decades has been an essential part of my New York story—coming to the city as an outsider, and then putting down roots including a family, an apartment, and a marvelous church that make Midtown my home.

Saint Peter’s has given me so much, and that motivates my commitment to invest in it For the Future!
